PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: 16th September 2026

This policy explains how we collect, hold, use, and disclose personal information through the Broulee Ridge website (brouleeridge.com.au), and how we comply with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Plain version: if you share your details with us, here’s what we do with them, how we look after them, and how you can ask for them back.

1. Who we are

Broulee Ridge is a project of Brightway Development Group Pty Ltd (ABN 76 603 035 365) — “Brightway,” “we,” “us,” “our.” Brightway is the data controller for personal information collected through this site.

2. What we collect

We collect personal information you give us directly — when you fill in the Register Interest form, the Contact form, or any other form on the site. That typically includes:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your suburb or postal town (optional)
  • The nature of your interest (optional)
  • The content of any message you send us

We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit the site — IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, time spent — through standard web analytics tools (currently Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used.

3. Why we collect it

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and questions
  • Send you project updates if you’ve registered your interest
  • Improve the site and how we communicate
  • Comply with our legal obligations
  • Operate the project (e.g. forwarding submission-help queries to the right team)

We don’t use your information for anything else without your consent.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information with a small number of trusted service providers who help us run the project:

  • Our hosting provider, who stores the website data
  • Our email and CRM provider, who sends project updates
  • Our analytics provider (Google Analytics)
  • Professional advisors and contractors where required (e.g. URBANEW, our planners)

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with third parties for their own marketing.

5. Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies — small text files saved to your device — for functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser; the site will still work, but some features may not.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics may set its own cookies and collect data in line with Google’s privacy policy.

6. Direct marketing

If you register your interest, we’ll email occasional project updates — typically no more than six or seven times a year while the project is in consultation. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

7. Storage and security

We hold personal information in secure systems and apply reasonable measures to prevent unauthorised access. No internet-based system is perfectly secure; if you have concerns, get in touch via the Contact page.

8. Your rights

You can ask us:

  • What personal information we hold about you
  • For a copy of that information
  • To correct any errors in it
  • To delete it (subject to any legal obligation to keep it)
  • To stop using it for direct marketing

To make any of these requests, send us a message via the Contact page. We’ll respond within 30 days.

9. Complaints

If you think we’ve mishandled your personal information, please tell us first — send us a message via the Contact page and we’ll investigate. If you’re not satisfied with how we respond, you can make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

10. Children’s information

This site isn’t directed at children under 18 and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover we’ve collected information from a minor, we’ll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version posted on the site is the current one; the last-updated date is shown at the top.

12. Contact

For any question about this policy, or to make a privacy-related request, use the Contact page.

Updates that matter

As the project moves through Council and beyond, we’ll share:

  • Council milestones — lodgement, public exhibition, decisions
  • Info session dates and locations
  • Changes to the masterplan in response to consultation
  • When affordable home applications open
  • When build-to-rent applications open
  • When market-rate lots are available

Roughly six emails a year while we’re at the consultation stage. More if there’s something worth saying.

We’ll email occasional updates on the project. We won’t share your details. You can unsubscribe at any time.
